The fabric is lightweight and beautiful. However, I think the online product images were misleading in a few important ways. First, the dress is significantly more sheer than it appears online — especially through the bust. I understood that it was labeled as swimwear, so I knew to expect some sheerness, but expected more opacity than what I received. As it stands, it cannot be worn without a slip, bodysuit, swimsuit, or some type of layering underneath. My biggest confusion stemmed from the dress not matching the product photos/details exactly. The online images show a tassel with a gold tip, but the actual dress arrived with a different beaded tassel. It may seem minor, but details like that are part of what influences a purchase decision at this price point. It’s a beautiful dress and has a very versatile aesthetic, but I do wish the transparency and design details had been represented more accurately.
