Katia Barros, our co-founder and creative director, lives it every day, knowing its secrets and rituals as only a classic Carioca can. In 1997, while working at an accounting firm downtown and gazing out at the gray cityscape, she dreamed of a fashion brand that could bring Rio’s natural vibrancy and color into clothing. That dream became FARM Rio.

It captures the city’s vibrant joy, its beauty, and its unmistakable lightness — the very essence that has always moved us. Rendered in a diffused, almost impressionistic style, it softens the line between the fantastic and the everyday, echoing the happiness of being in Rio.
